anxiety disorders, autism and ADHD, along with medical student and
resident education.

Dr. Smith graduated from Cornell University in 1994 with a B.A. in
Biology, and graduated from Michigan State University College of Human
Medicine with a M.D. in 1998. Dr. Smith then
completed a combined general and child/adolescent psychiatric residency at
UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill in 2003. Research interests include
collaboration between schools and mental health professionals, and
medication management of disruptive behavior disorders. Dr. Smith
has clinical experience working with child and adolescent anxiety and mood
disorders, and with individuals with developmental disabilities, eating
disorders and ADHD, in both university and community mental health
settings.
